From April 16th to September 1st, 2023, Nathan Slater and Sanesh Iyer paddled a pair of sea kayaks from Victoria, BC to Yakutat, Alaska, covering a distance to 1935 nautical miles (3500km). Their journey led them through remote communities, abandoned industrial towns, natural hot springs, and to the base of North America’s largest tidewater glacier.
Join us at Valhalla Pure Outfitters in North Vancouver for stories covering the highlights (and some lowlights) from the expedition as well as some tips and trips for planning your own sea kayak expedition. Check out our trip blogs for a sneak peek at some of the stories we might tell! We'll also have a special presentation from our Expedition partners at the BC Marine Trails Network.
